Come meet our therapists and see our new second office location!
Sometimes dreams become a reality. What is happening at Fuller Life Family Therapy right now is exciting and life-giving in so many ways. Here’s the story of how Fuller Life’s has grown recently!
After three years of consistent growth and effort, Shani Bell, our favorite art therapist, completed her post-graduate fellowship with Fuller Life and received her Licensed Professional Counselor credentials. She had plans to offer counseling as a contract therapist with a local art therapy agency and when her plans unexpectedly fell through at the last minute, we both saw an opportunity and began dreaming together.
To date, Fuller Life has been a non-profit counseling agency within a post-graduate training fellowship. Our LPC interns and LMFT associates complete the requirements for full licensure as an LPC and LMFT as well as curricular training and activity in systemic therapy. Our sole revenue has been either charitable gifts and fees paid by counseling clients, which averages $35 per session (the lowest fee in town for this level of service.) We have grown from 2 to 6 therapists in our program over the last 6.5 years.
As Shani, our lovely board of directors, and I began dreaming, we quickly saw this opportunity as one offering a lot for everyone involved. Adding LPC and LMFT’s as therapists with Fuller life is the next step in fulfill our vision of ‘growing organically as a richly layered and vital community of skilled therapists.’
So, we rented an additional office on the WEST side of town, ordered new business cards, redesigned a few things, furnished three offices in our new suite at 10333 Harwin, Suite 375D and now Shani Bell, LPC, ATR is seeing clients in her own personally designed art therapy office!
Soon, our most recent graduate, Angela Blocker, (waiting on her LMFT certificate to arrive any day now), will join her at Fuller Life West offering Marriage and Family Therapy services.
Our resident Spanish-speaking therapist, Manet Castaneda, LPC intern, is now seeing clients at Fuller Life WEST as well.
We are having a come and go open house on Thursday, November 1st, from 4 to 7 pm at our new space.
Our vision is to grow organically as a richly layered and vital community of skilled therapists.
