Gisselle Balderas LPC Associate

Bilingual Resident Therapist

Gisselle Balderas

Welcome! I believe therapy works best when it is a collaboration. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, not to fix you, but to support you in discovering what healing looks like for you. Together, we create a space that is grounded in safety, trust, and honesty—where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.

Over the past two years, I have worked with individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges, from emotional overwhelm and stress to complex personal histories and life transitions. I have experience supporting clients who are navigating the justice system, struggling with behavioral patterns that impact relationships, or feeling stuck in ways that are hard to name. My work often includes holding space for conversations that others may shy away from—complicated family dynamics, identity concerns, shame, and healing from harm.

When I work with adolescents, I also involve families in the process whenever it is helpful. I have seen how powerful it can be when caregivers and young people begin to understand each other in new ways.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have experience supporting Spanish-speaking children and families. I strive to create a culturally responsive space where people of all backgrounds feel respected and seen.

My approach is person-centered and holistic. That means I consider the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and tailor our work to reflect your values, beliefs, and needs. If spirituality is a meaningful part of your life, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate that into our work in a way that feels authentic to you.

If you are feeling unsure about therapy, that is completely normal. Taking the first step is often the hardest, and I would be honored to walk with you from wherever you are now.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Amy Fuller, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S.

I offer therapy for people of all ages in English or Spanish, with a special focus on adolescents, young adults, and adults in person at Fuller Life Loop and East, and virtually for telehealth.
