Graduate Therapist

Shireen Rand

I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families build stronger, healthier relationships. I believe that our life experiences shape who we are and influence how we show up in our relationships today. I view therapy as your journey. One where you are the expert of your own story. My role is to partner with you, helping you make sense of patterns, deepen awareness, and move toward healing and growth.

I am devoted to making therapy as meaningful and productive as possible, beginning with a strong connection and genuine collaboration. Creating a space that feels safe, steady, and authentic is central to my work, as I believe healing happens best in the context of trusting relationships.

I specialize in working with couples who feel stuck in cycles of conflict, distance, or miscommunication. Using the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused approaches, I help partners move from frustration and defensiveness toward understanding, emotional safety, and deeper connection. My goal is to help couples not only manage conflict, but experience secure, lasting relational change.

I also have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults. As a former high school teacher and ministry leader, I understand the developmental, relational, and spiritual challenges teens and families face. I enjoy partnering with students and parents to strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and build resilience.

My Christian faith is a central source of strength in my life and informs the compassion and hope I bring into my work. For clients who desire it, I am happy to incorporate faith into the counseling process. At the same time, I deeply respect each client’s unique beliefs, values, and background.

I am currently earning my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) at Abilene Christian University, under the supervision of Dr. Amy Fuller, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S.”

I am currently seeing individuals, couples, and families in person at Fuller Life North and virtually for telehealth.
