YEAR-END GOAL: $25,000

Give the Gift of Therapy this holiday season.

A donation to Fuller Life will gift a family without access to mental health care or family therapy an opportunity to heal.

A donation to Fuller Life will make counseling possible for those who cannot afford care.

On a Wednesday afternoon, Mya* was just about to quit. She had called many therapy offices but could not afford their sessions and did not have insurance. She thought she’d try one last place—Fuller Life Family Therapy Institute. Thankfully, someone picked up and she couldn’t believe it.

The story of Mya
Woman in distress on the phone

They offered her a rate she could pay and a session that same day. Her grip loosened around the pills sitting on the countertop. She weakly smiled at her 6-year-old daughter who was drawing daisies in her coloring book. She had no idea the pain raging inside her mother’s head. Today, maybe there is hope, Mya thought.

Did you know that Texas ranks last out of 51 states for mental health access?

…and Harris County is the least funded county in Texas for mental health access?

  • We believe that access to affordable therapy services is crucial for the overall well-being of our community.
  • Our children and friends do not need to be living with sky-rocketing anxiety while not having the resources to help them manage the environment in which they live.

This holiday season, we invite you to join us in giving a deeply meaningful gift—The Gift of Therapy.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to ensure we can continue providing quality, affordable therapy

Imagine the impact we can make together: families reunited, individuals finding strength through their darkest moments, and a community thriving in mental and emotional well-being. Your support will not only change lives; it will create a ripple effect of healing that extends far beyond the therapy room.

year end goal 2023

We spend a lot of time during this time of the year thinking about gifts and giving. A classic text read by most therapists in graduate school is The Gift of Therapy by Irwin Yalom.

In this book, Yalom describes the unique opportunities presented to those participating in therapy as “the gift of therapy.” He talks about the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space that creates the possibility of change for the client. This relationship becomes a gift creating a ripple effect and influencing not only the client but all of those they touch in life.

Fuller Life takes this ripple effect to heart in that we are not just another counseling agency. Your support of Fuller Life creates a ripple effect as we train therapists through our intensive postgraduate training program. Our graduates go out to heal those they touch throughout their professional lives. We are simultaneously meeting a real need in the community for affordable mental healthcare and family therapy.

So far in 2023, we have provided over 3000 hours of therapy to 464 individuals or families at rates specific to each person or family. We also graduated 6 top-notch students or master’s level therapists from our intensive training program.

To sustain our training program which provides therapy for those who may struggle to afford it, we rely on a generous community of givers who care that everyone has access to affordable mental health care. As we enter our 12th year of service, we are hoping to raise $25,000 to continue our work in 2024 and beyond.

We would greatly appreciate any gift you could offer to help us continue meeting our mission.

“Therapy is not about removing pain; it’s about learning how to live with it and still find joy..”
